Why I started collecting shoes

I started collecting shoes when I was a freshman in high school; before then I didn't think shoes were such a big deal or they even mattered. During my high school years I had a friend named Abel Perez, he always had the latest pair of sneakers on and I wouldn't be the only one who noticed. After constantly seeing the different types of shoes that are out there and the different styles I told myself that the sneakers you wear actually matter and nine times out of ten make your whole outfit so that's when my collection was born. I started working forty hours a week at Taco Cabana just to get money for shoes, I figured if its going to be my collection so I have to spend my own money and not my parents money so I never once asked my parents for a dime. My collection started off with the Gary Payton "Gloves" nothing to special but I had to start somewhere, eventually by always working I was able to get my hands on some other type of sneakers like: Stealth Foamposites, All-Star KD 6s, Chicago 10s etc.
